Mezzo Soprano Olivia Ward is increasingly attracting the attention of the American regional opera and orchestra circuit.  Last Season she was seen as Mrs. Baines in Elmer Gantry with Nashville Opera and the Verdi Requiem with the Middle Tennessee Choral Society.  She then returned to Chattanooga Symphony and Opera as both the Witch and Mother in Hansel and Gretel.

She performed Beethoven’s Mass in C and the Vivaldi Gloria with the Music City Chorus in Nashville Tennessee and she appeared as Gertrude in Gounod’s Romeo and Jiuliet with the Nashville Opera.   Ms. Ward sang Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro at Chattanooga Opera & Symphony.  
 
Other engagements included Martha in Faust and the Mother in Amal and the Night Visitors with Nashville Opera and made she her debut with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra as alto soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.  She also performed Orlofsky in Der Fledermaus with Nevada Opera Theater,  soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Virginia Symphony, Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor with the Nashville Opera, and the roles of Mother, Sandman and Witch in Hansel und Gretel with the Mobile Opera.
               
She was a member of the Ashlawn Highlands Summer Festival where she performed  Second Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute and the Nashville Opera's Mary Ragland Young Artist Program where she performed Flora in Verdi’s La Traviata.  Ms. Ward was also a Young Artist at Chautauqua Opera Festival where she covered the role of Aunt March in Mark Adamo’s Little Women. She  performed a Holiday concert at the Donnell Public Library in NYC.
 
Mezzo Soprano Olivia Ward is a native of Houston, Texas.  She has a Masters in Voice Performance and a Masters in Opera Performance from New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and  received her BM in Voice Performance from the University of Alabama.
