Soprano Suzanne Vinnik is establishing herself as a diverse young artist. From Las Vegas.  In addition to completing her education this season Ms. Vinnik will be soloist in the New Year’s Gala with the Westfield Symphony Orchestra, will perform an evening of opera arias at Opera Florham in New Jersey, and Mozart’s Mass in C minor with the Fairfield County and Westchester Choral Societies under the baton of Johannes Somary.  Miss Vinnik will make her Weill Recital Hall debut on May 29, 2009 in a solo recital.

Miss Vinnik performs frequently with the Nevada Opera Theatre. She began singing in the children’s chorus at age 8 and went on to sing Sandman and Dew Fairy in performances of Hansel and Gretel. The Nevada Opera Theatre awarded her the Tove Allen Legacy Scholarship for Opera. In June 2007 Miss Vinnik presented the companies inaugural solo recital series, “The Art of Recital”.

Miss Vinnik performed with Fort Worth Symphony, Symphony Arlington, Garland Symphony, and Las Colinas Symphony as a guest artist and recorded “Shadow of My Love” a song she co-wrote and extensive vocals for the 2005 European motion picture the Headsman (aka Shadow of the Sword) with the Prague Symphonia. In 2008 she was a semi-finalist in the Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition, a young artist at the Fort Worth Opera Institute, and a studio artist at Opera North in New Hampshire where she performed the role of Papagena in main stage performance of The Magic Flute..

With the Texas Christian University Opera Studio she sang Ingrid Idol (Mademoiselle Silberklang) in Mozart’s The Impresario, Micaela in La Tragedie de Carmen, Queen in Thomas Pasatieri’s The Goose Girl, and The Statue of Liberty in Milton Grainger’s The Proposal.  Miss Vinnik toured with the Texas Christian University Jazz Band as the featured vocalist at the Umbria Jazz Festival (Perugia, Italy), Valdarno Jazz Festival (Tuscany), and the Reggio Emilia Summer Music Festival, and performed with her combo at the Caruso Jazz Club in Florence. She also performed and recorded with salsa band, Mambo Machine in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Miss Vinnik studied ballet with Heather Victorson the London ballerina and prima ballerina Tamara VanVranken in Las Vegas along with lessons in lyrical, jazz and modern growing up. She is quickly noticed for her ease on stage and high level of dedication to musicianship.
