Having been noted for her ‘electric presence’ and a voice that is ‘lovely and seamless,’ soprano Erin Stewart has delighted audiences with her artistry, powerful stage presence, and clear, sparkling voice.  Erin is currently the female swing, Anne, Petra, and Charlotte covers in the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music, starring Catherine Zeta Jones and Angela Lansbury. This coming April, Erin will be featured as the soprano soloist in the world premiere of Georgia Shreve’s Oratorio: Portraits of the Twentieth Century at Carnegie Hall.

In 2008, Erin could be seen starring as Christine Dae in Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular at The Venetian in Las Vegas.  For most of 2006-2007 Erin covered and performed the role of Christine in the Broadway national tour of The Phantom of the Opera. She made her Broadway debut in NYC with Phantom in 2004.

This past summer Erin performed the role of Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls at The New Harmony Theatre in Indiana directed by Lenny Leibowitz.  She made her debut with The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina in Hilton Head, SC as Guinevere in Camelot, where her performance garnered such praise as ‘stunning’ and  ‘luxurious’. Before that, Erin made her debut with Opera Cleveland as Anne in A Little Night Music. Opera News stated, ‘Erin Stewart's Anne Egerman was beautifully youthful and poised.’ Erin has had the pleasure of working with such greats as Trevor Nunn, Hal Prince, Paul Gemingani, Paul Ford, and Mario Fratti, (best known for his musical Nine).

Erin made her appearance as Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro at Metro Lyric Opera under the baton of Anton Coppola.  Other opera credits include Nora in Riders to the Sea, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, and Nancy in Albert Herring.  She was also a member of the Caramoor Young Artist Festival under the direction of Will Crutchfield.            

Erin’s numerous recitals and concerts have reflected her profound passion for exploring contemporary repertoire. She has performed many new works around New York City in such venues as Merkin Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Gould Hall, Symphony Space, the Liederkranz, and El Museo del Barrio.  Erin performed in an Evening of Steven Foster’s Songs at the Finger Lakes Chamber Music Series in February 2009 with the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra with whom she is a frequent soloist.  Erin has also performed in concerts at the Lincoln Center Performing Arts Library in New York City. She returned to Yamaha Studios in conjunction with The Young Soloists Chamber Society of New York to present two world premieres by Craig Woodward and Lyudmila German.   Erin also was selected along with pianist Craig Woodward to participate in ‘The Concerts at One Recital Series’ at St. Paul’s Chapel in connection with Trinity Church. 

Erin received her Masters in Voice Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
