Maestro Giulherme Almeida
is Senior Lecturer in Music Theater
at Baylor University. He was
recently Music Director for
Shakespeare in the Love
with Shakespeare
Dallas. He was also Composer/Music
Director/Music supervisor for a new translation
of Goethe's Faust at the
U. of Texas in Dallas. He is currently
working remotely at Zurich University of the Arts
in a program called Creation and Scenario
in Music. He is concept and stage director
for Oscillating Realities a new performance
piece.

He is working on several

He has recently finished a
book "Guideline for the Interpretation

and they have
had several concerts.
He is completed his third opera based on
Thurst is based on the historical
novel by Mary Donnarumma Sharnick. He just finished writing
the music for a PBS mini-series Stars
on Stage. On Nov. 17 the Rutgers University
Orchestra did a reading of his new symphony.
On Jan 17 PBS channel 13 will have his composition on the air. On May
1 he leads a semi-staged version of Mozart's Cosi fan
tutti at Opera America in NYC.

welcome soprano SARAH JOYCE COOPER to our roster of artists. Sarah
was in residence at Tri Cities Opera and performed Clorinda in
La Cenerentola on April 10 and on May 1 at
Syracuse Opera. In May she
performed as Sally in Joe Illick's Stone Soup. She was
a winner in The Classical Competition at Montpelier Arts
Center in MD. She was also a semi-finalist in the Rochester
Oratorio Competition. She performed a recital at Middlesex
Alumnae weekend in June.In October she makes her main stage debut as Monica
in Menotti's Medium with Tri Cities Opera
and Syracuse Opera. Performances are Oct.
21-23 in Binghampton and Oct. 28-30 in Syracuse.

he was soloist in Mendelssohn's Elijah with Herb Dimmock's
Bach in Baltomore. In June he is part
of the Peabody Summer Vocal Academy. In July he taught and
performed at the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. In August
he will participate nin Washington National Opera's Opera
Initiative. On September 25 he makes his debut with the
Brazos Symphony Orchestra in Texas as bass in
Beetrhoven's 9th Symphony.

Mezzo-soprano LAURE DE MARCELLUS
has just finished a new album "Pauline Inspired"
based on the music of Pauline Viardot. She did this
with her Spanish pian ist Alberto Urroz. and is produced by
Centaur Records. On March 19 she performed music from
the CD at Salle des Abelles in Geneva Switzerland. On
Friday April 8 she performed "Pauline Inspired" a show honoring
the extraordinary artist Pauline Viardot at Old First Concerts
in San Francisco. On May 20 she made her debut as Countess in Tchaikovsky"s
Pique Dame with West Bay Opera.
On July 1 is the release of her CD "Pauline Inspired".
Tenor MORGAN MASTRANGELO performed
as guest soloist with Forte International Competition
at Carnegie Recital Hall.. This Summer he joined Opera
Saratoga and will covered Almaviva in Il Barbieri
di Siviglia,sing Tobias in Sweeney Todd, and
was tenor soloist in Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.
On August 4 he performed an opera and Broadway concert at the Kasschua
Memorial Shell in Ridgewood NJ.

a solo concert for Turnov Paridise
in the Czech Republic. Shewas also a semi-finalist in the
Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition.
On a moment's notice she made her debut as mezzo soloist
in Handel's Messiah with the Hudson
Valley Philharmonic. On May 1 she sang Dorabella in Mozart's
Cosi fan tutte in "Opera Reads" at Opera America.
She just got her MMusic in vocal performance from the
University of Arizona.
Soprano DANA
PUNDT made her debut with
Opera Project Columbus
as Rosalinda in
Die Fledermaus. She compled
a six month culinary course. She also performed
a recital with Brad Caldwell as pianist. This is
a part of the Spectrum Workshop
Series on line. The composers included Poulenc,
Rachmaninoff, Strauss, Pasatieri, and Cipullo. To

is preparing and producing his first CD "REDD".
He is on the Board of Directors for the

his debut with the New Jersey Symphony as Hark in Michael Raphael's
Nat Turner with Trilogy Opera..
Fred returned to Carnegie Hall as soloist in Hayes
Requiem and Mozaart's Regina Coeli in C
Major with Mid-America Productions on May 27. On May 28
he was soloist in American Rhapsody
by Stroope with Mid-America Productions also at Carnegie Hall.
On June 12 he performed "Old Man River" from Showbooat
on a gala concert at Eastman School of Music for the William Warfield
Foundation. He pianist was Grammy Winning Jazz pianist Harold
Danko. Fred returnrd to Carnegie Hall as
soloist in Hayes Requiem and Mozaart's Regina Coeli
in C Major, "The Heavens are Telling"
from Haydn's The Creation, and "Domine, ad adjuvandumk me festiva"
by G. B. Martini with Mid-America Productions on June 30. Fred is covering
Charmouloue in a new musical Hunchback of Notre Dame written
by John Taylor Thomas at the 30th Street Theatre in NYC. Performances
run Sept. 8 through October 3.

as Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni. His
January production of Ferrando in Mozart's Cosi
fan tutti at Cedar Rapids Opera has been
postponed. On May 1 he will sing Ferrando in Mozart's Cosi
fan tutte in "Opera Reads" at Opera America. He
also performed Halstork's I Will Lift up Mine Eyes
and Dett's Chariot Jubilee at Carnegie Hall
with Mid-America Productiuons on June 3.
