Laura Brioli was born in Rimini, Italy. She got her degree in foreign languages at the University of Urbino and she completed her musical studies under the direction of Romualdo Savastano.

In 1995 she attended  master classes organized by Teatro Comunale di Modena, where she could follow the teaching of singers as Mirella Freni, Nikolai Ghiaurov, Luciano Pavarotti, Lucia Valentini Terrani, Raina Kabaivanska, and in 1996 the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro under the direction of M̊ Alberto Zedda.

She  made her debut singing  Cherubino in “Le Nozze di Figaro” in Sassari and this began her career in the most important theatres of Italy:

After having sung operas of belcanto repertoire such as Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Italiana in Algeri, Il Turco in Italia, La Cenerentola, La Pietra del Paragone, Le Nozze di Figaro, she has recently had great success singing the roles of Charlotte, Carmen, Maddalena, Laura Adorno, Amneris, Azucena, Eboli, Santuzza and Fenena. 

She has collaborated with such eminent conductors as Philippe Auguin, Laurent Campellone, Giuliano Carella, Aldo Ceccato, Yoram David, Massimo de Bernart, Placido Domingo, Alain Lombard, Fabio Luisi, John Fiore, Reynold Giovaninetti, Marco Guidarini, Zubin Metha, Claudio Scimone, Massimiliano Stefanelli, Julius Rudel, Marcello Viotti, Alberto Zedda,
                   
She has also worked with stage directors including Daniele Abbado, Philippe Arlaud, Elisabetta Courir, Paul Curran, David Gately Jean Louis Grinda, Misha van Hoecke, Christof Loy, Paolo Micciché, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Graham Wick.

2007: Nabucco (Fenena) at Opera in Rennes, La Pietra del Pparagone (Aspasia) at Teatro Real in Madrid. Nabucco (Fenena)  at Opera de Nice, Il Trovatore (Azucena) in Parma and Savona
2008: La Gioconda (Laura) Grand Theatre “L’Esplanade” of St. Etienne, Aida at Teatro Sociale of Rovigo, Don Carlos (Eboli) at Staatsoper in Hamburg, Aida (Amneris) at Teatro Chiabrera (Fortezza Priamar) Savona, Il Trovatore (Azucena) at Indianapolis Opera (October), Carmen (Carmen) at Washington National Opera (November), Aida (Amneris) at Teatro Goldoni Livorno.
