Morgan Mastrangelo is a recent graduate of Northwestern University, where he completed a BM in Opera Performance, as well as a certificate in Musical Theatre. Morgan spent his undergraduate career singing leading operatic and musical theatre roles both on and off the Northwestern stage. Pre-covid, he saw role debuts as Rinuccio, (Teatro Sociale, Novafeltria, IT) Basilio, (Sferisterio di Macerata, Santarcangelo, IT) And the role of Prince in the Chicago premiere of David T. Little’s chamber opera, Dog Days (Northwestern Opera Theatre). In the realm of musical theatre, He was recently seen as Pippin (Pippin) and Tobias (Sweeney Todd) with the College Light Opera Company in Falmouth MA, and on Northwestern’s mainstage as Charlie Brown (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown). Recently, Morgan collaborated with Conduit Studios Media, a San Diego based multimedia company, on a filmed recital of 24 songs entitled Souvenir. Exploring the common threads between music and visual art, the concert is slated for a Spring 2021 release. This summer, Morgan will make another role debut as Don Ramiro in Rossini's La Cenerentola, at the Al Ringling theatre in Wisconsin. He currently studies with Pamela Hinchman.
