'Lauded for
his “grand voice, with a rich and colorful timbre, and beautiful smooth legato”
(Anaclase.com), bass John Paul Huckle has quickly established himself as an
international talent. Recently, Mr. Huckle made his Wagnerian debut as König
Marke in Tristan und Isolde with the Claude Heater Foundation and as Sparafucile
in Rigoletto with Noli Musica Festival. In his 2022-2023 season, he made
his debut with Salt Marsh Opera singing Simone in Gianni Schicchi, Usher
in Trial by Jury, and Sarastro in The Magic Flute. Additional engagements
included a return to Teatro Carlo Felice singing Samuel in Un ballo in maschera
and a debut with the Opera Company of Middlebury to sing Don Pizzaro in Fidelio.
An exciting season for new works, he made his White Snake Projects debut
as Aspu/General Aps in Cosmic Cowboys (Ruehr/Jacobs) and returned in the
fall to sing Zhu in Monkey:A Kung Fu Puppet Parable. |
