Yang Chen


Yang Chen , is a lyric tenor born in Weifang, China. He’s the first prize winner of the MRL International Vocal Competition. His roles include Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), Alfredo (La Traviata), Romeo (Romeo et Juliette), and Rodolfo (La Bohème). He also appeared as soloist in Verdi’s requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Beethoven’s No.9 Symphony and Choral Fantasia, and Orff’s Carmina Burana. He holds the master degree of Manhattan School of Music. He has appeared in La Traviata and La Clemenza di Tito with Aspen music Festival in 2017. He did Tamino in Die Zauberflöte with NY Lyric Opera Theatre in 2017. He is also a graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China.
